Build strength.
Create space.
Connect to yourself.
Science-informed yoga and movement for busy people who want to feel stronger, more connected to their bodies, and better able to meet the demands of everyday life.
Through movement, stillness and self-study, I help you build strength and create space for yourself — without turning wellbeing into another thing you have to be good at.
More capacity for the life you’re already living.
When life gets busy, looking after ourselves is often the first thing to disappear. Work, responsibilities and other people take priority. Movement becomes inconsistent, rest gets squeezed out, and it can become surprisingly easy to lose connection with your own body and needs.
My approach to yoga is about creating some of that space again: building a stronger, more capable body; learning to pay attention to how you move and feel; and developing practices that support you both on and off the mat.
You don’t need to be flexible. You don’t need to be experienced. And you don’t need to perform yoga perfectly. You just need somewhere to begin.
THE APPROACH
Strength. Stillness. Self.
STRENGTH
Build a body that supports your life.
Yoga can be much more than stretching. My movement teaching draws on yoga, Pilates, strength and mobility, with a strong interest in anatomy and whole-body movement. Expect thoughtful sequences, clear activation cues and opportunities to understand what you’re doing rather than simply copying shapes.
STILLNESS
Create space in a life that’s always asking something from you.
Strength is also the capacity to slow down. Restorative yoga, breath and slower practices offer a chance to shift gears, reduce stimulation and make space for genuine rest—not as something you have to earn, but as part of the practice.
SELF
Notice more.
Yoga gives us a place to pay attention: to breath, sensation, habits, reactions and the stories we tell ourselves. I weave reflection and yoga philosophy into physical practice to encourage curiosity rather than judgement. The goal isn’t to become a better yogi. It’s to know yourself a little better.
WAYS TO PRACTICE

STUDIO CLASSES
Creative, considered yoga and movement classes in London.
Join me for vinyasa, hatha, beginners’ yoga, strength and mobility, and restorative practice. Expect clear teaching, progressive challenge, options for different bodies and experience levels, and space to explore rather than perform.
WORKSHOPS
More time to get curious.
My workshops go beyond a standard class to explore movement, anatomy, strength, mobility and yoga in greater depth—with time to learn, practise and ask questions.
CONNECTED STRENGTH — 1:1
Build strength. Understand your body. Move with more confidence.
Connected Strength is personalised 1:1 yoga and movement for people who want to get stronger while developing a deeper connection to how their body moves and feels. We’ll use yoga, strength, mobility and Pilates-informed movement, with clear anatomy-based cues and progressions tailored to you.
This isn’t about forcing your body into ideal shapes. It’s about learning how to engage, explore and progress—building strength, awareness and trust in what your body can do.
“Anatomically fascinating, creatively flowy, thoughtful and considered… lots of options for all levels, such freedom for bodily autonomy but still this beautiful feeling of being ‘taught’. It felt like we did SO much but never rushed anything.”
— Yoga teacher after attending Amy’s class
WHAT STUDENTS SAY
“I like the emphasis on strength and stability, really engaging muscles and thinking about what muscle we’re using to achieve postures.”
— Student survey
“This was my first class, but I really appreciated the non-didactic element of your class. It felt encouraging as opposed to alienating.”

ABOUT
I’m Amy.
I’m a yoga and movement teacher with a PhD and a former career in public health research and epidemiology.
Before teaching yoga full-time, I spent years designing and analysing large international health studies and teaching research methods. That background still shapes the way I work: I’m curious about evidence, anatomy and why we do what we do—while also valuing the parts of yoga that aren’t captured by data: awareness, philosophy, connection and the lived experience of being in your body.
My teaching brings those worlds together: thoughtful, evidence-informed movement without rigidity; yoga philosophy without dogma; challenge without punishment; and rest without having to earn it.
I want people to leave practice not only having moved, but having learned something—about their body, their capacity or themselves.
